MarketingYourselfasanExpertPart1.jpgEvery artist and crafter would like to be an expert in his or her chosen field. They often compare themselves to other artists working with the same materials. Sometimes this comparison results in discouragement. It’s easy to understand why they may fear that they are less skilled or knowledgeable than the other (highly popular) artists who seem to be getting all the sales. Discouragement often hinders creativity and can even stop someone from creating for periods of time. They are likely more knowledge than they may think. They certainly know more than the average person about their craft and can use this to their advantage. The truth is that pitching yourself as an expert in your field can be a great marketing strategy, if it’s the truth that is.
