"I love fall! Fall is exciting.
It's apples and cider.
It's an airborne spider.
It's pumpkins in bins.
It's burrs on dog's chins.
It's wind blowing leaves.
It's chilly red knees.
It's nuts on the ground.
It's a crisp dry sound.
It's green leaves turning
And the smell of them burning.
It's clouds in the sky.
It's fall. That's why...
I love fall."

Martha Stewart has done it again! She's come up with another great fall/halloween pumpkin project! Ok, let's be honest, we know there must be someone working there... or maybe a whole team of people who are the ones coming up with these great ideas, but never-the-less, I still can't get enough of all their fall & halloween treats! You'll find the tutorial for these pumpkins here.
It's true, I'm just a hippy at heart. This treasury was inspired by my love of all things green, eco-friendly and natural. Yes, my style is very gothic inspired, but my beliefs are green, green, green :) Like Kermit said, it's not easy being green!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!

This is the last week to snag my Halloween cards! After this week I will be deactivating all the one-of-a-kind Halloween cards and taking them with me to a craft show in Toronto on October 25th.

If you've had your eye on a certain Halloween card, snag it now before someone else does or I take it to the craft show with me! :)

Go to my Artfire studio or Etsy shop to snag your favs!

Here are just a few of the cards that will be deactivated after this week! There's lots more in my shops too!

As Halloween grows closer the air gets colder, the leaves change color, and the pumpkins ripen in the fields. People start wearing orange and brown a bit more, the days grow hazy, and the smell of spices kill kitchens across the city. Autumn isn't just my favourite season because of Halloween you know.... I love everything about this season! It flies by so fast and is followed up by the season I hate the most - cold COLD winter. But, winter isn't hear yet so we aren't even going to talk about it. Instead we'll give thanks for the wonderful fall season! We had Thanksgiving at my parents place today and it was good to get together with family. The meal was good too of course ;) I usually plan "Tofurkey Day" at our place - a pot lock for friends - I made the Tofurkey and they bring the sides, but this year has just been so busy with the transition back into school full time and prepping for a big craft show at the end of the month. Maybe I'll have a "Post Tofurkey Day" post luck in November :)

To celebrate Thanksgiving (or Tofurkey Day), I searched high and low for some unique handmade finds! Here's what I found from around the web (click on the picture to see the listing):

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Yes, Sassy wears a sweater, and Noel and Princess wear bandanas. Aren't they the cutest dogs you've ever seen? haha. Drew thinks Sassy looks ridiculous in her sweater but she prances around every time I put it on her haha! She totally loves it! Plus, with that short greyhound coat, she needs some help keeping warm when the weather gets cold :) ... Just wait until the snow starts flying and they are all wearing their winter coats at the dog park ;)

See more pictures from our "sweater weather day" (that I'm actually in) at my flickr photostream.
